Slow Progress

This week was good! Nothing special really happened, but we got lots done! We have continued to have lots of appointments with members of the ward. We meet with Sister Rordorf twice a week, and Fabian once a week, and then other random appointments that we get. Sister Rordorf is so sweet, she loves going deep into the gospel with us, and she laughs a ton. Fabian was baptized a couple months ago, and you can see his desire to continue to learn and grow.

Yesterday we had district meeting down in Zurich at our district leaders apartment. The two sisters couldn't make it, so it was just 4 elders. It was super fun! Afterwards we were walking to the supermarket and Elder Erlacher suggested we bring a Book of Mormon to try to give out to someone. I'm still pretty new, so street contacting is hard. As Elder Erlacher and I walked along there was a lady, so we stopped and talked with her. She actually said that she was a native Portuguese speaker, so we took down her address so they could bring her a Portuguese Book of Mormon later. She actually was super nice and seemed interested!

We did lots of Facebook finding this week, so I tried messaging as many people as I could. I got multiple people that asked me for food, money, and even one guy that tried to get me to join the illuminati! Still having faith that the Lord will provide someone for us to teach.

For Pday today, we went to Mount Titlis! We weren't sure if it would be worth it since it was pretty cloudy, but I'm so glad we went! We took a 30 minute gondola to the top and it was breathtaking! We were above the clouds! It was freezing and the wind was whipping, but it was so cool! There was a cliff walk bridge which is apparently the highest one in all of Europe! It was terrifying, but tons of fun!

It doesn't seem like my German is getting noticeably better yet, but I'm still trying my best to speak. I know that it'll come with time and effort though.
I also went to a hair salon for the first time in my life today. I was nervous because my trainer had told my that I was gonna get a "Turq cut" (super short on the sides and super long on the top), because most of the hair dressers here are people from Turkey. I explained what I wanted in German and they actually understood. Luckily it turned out well! Random experience, but something new for me. ðŸ˜‚

I am grateful for the opportunity to be here, I have already learned and grown so much.
It can be hard and stressful at times, but I know that I will look back and be grateful. I know that the gospel is true and can bring so much joy to our lives!
