Week 2- A Flood of Gratitude

 Hello everyone!

There isn't much to report back from this past week except that things are getting easier! The days have been going by quicker and I have adjusted to all of the studying and time on zoom. Still lots of work though! Within the first ten days of the MTC we had to learn the Basic Core which was basically just a little booklet with lots of basic German vocab and grammer that we will need in the mission. We had our assessment of it yesterday, and it actually went well! I definitely feel like all of my work payed off and I was able to remember most of it!

We had the chance to practice teaching some other missionaries this week! The missionaries that we taught are actually currently quarantining in the England MTC. Apparently they got word about a week before they were supposed to leave for their reassignments that they would instead be going to the England MTC to quarantine and then go straight to the mission field! That definitely gave us hope knowing that we might get to do the same, but for now I not getting my hopes up and planning on going to St George. Either way I am super excited!

This week I felt really grateful for so many things in my life. We had the opportunity to watch President Nelson's message of hope as a district, and I have already seen such a cool effect all across social media since then. It has been so amazing to see everyones gratitude posts fill social media with positivity! Often times social media is used as a time waster and can have negative effects on society. Last week in class we watched a video and in it Elder Bednar said, "What has been accomplished thus far in this dispensation communicating gospel messages through social media channels is a good beginning—but only a small trickle. I now extend to you the invitation to help transform that trickle into a flood.” I love this so much because it is so true, and even in the past couple days it has been so cool to see this flood to begin flowing forth!

I hope you all are well! I am excited to continue to learn and grow this week! Ich weis das, das Evangelium Jesu Christi wahr ist! Ich bin dankbar für und ich weis das der Prophet, Russell M Nelson, wahr ist!
