Week 10- Deutschland Here We Come!

This has been the week we have all been dreaming of for weeks! There was lots of confusion and unsurity last week if we would be reassigned and when we would actually be able to get into Germany, but miracles are real! Even though the borders closed, they decided to send some more missionaries to see if they could get in, and they did! They decided to send another big group and my comp and I were in that group! We got covid tested on Saturday and luckily we were negative. We packed everything, and left the MTC on Sunday morning to drive to the London airport. We checked in and got through security pretty easily, and right as we made it through we got an email from Brother Miller from the MTC saying to not check in. Apparently some other missionaries who flew into Munich, where we were going to fly into, couldn't get into Germany so we had to rebook to Frankfurt. So we had to go talk to lots of people to get our bags rerouted, and then check in again. We only had about 30 minutes before our flight left, but luckily we made it. We landed in Frankfurt, and getting past border control was actually pretty easy! We met with a nice guy who gave us our ticket and showed us where the train station was. We got an our overnight train to Munich at 12:30 AM which was very hard to sleep on, but got to Munich at 6AM. Some elders here picked us up and brought us to our apartment where we have to quarantine for a couple days, but I am just so happy and feel so blessed to be here! Right after we entered the country Germany decided that they weren't going to let anymore missionaries in so many that were in the MTC with us had to be reassigned in England. It's a miracle we made it and I am so grateful. I know that God has a plan for each of us and knows what's best for our lives. I should find out my area and my trainer very soon and should be going there next week!
Bis später!!!
