A Trio
Hello everyone!
Based on the title I'm sure you can tell I am actually in a trio now! We got a call the night before I left Wettingen saying that we would be with another missionary! His name is Elder Ausobsky and is a native from Linz! He is waiting for his Visa to go to Africa, so he is with us for 5 weeks! He is super funny and his German definitely comes in handy.Last Wednesday I left Wettingen to come here to Klagenfurt. It was kind of sad leaving my first area and all of the people I had gotten to know, but I was also excited for a change. It was a 6 hour train ride from Wettingen to Salzburg, and then a 2 hour car ride to Klagenfurt. The city is super cool, and had lots of history! We have already met lots of people from the ward and they are great! The apartment we are in is really nice and probably twice as big as my last one! It feels great to be in a new area with so many new things, people, and places to see.
We have already had lots of good food! We had a member appointment the day after we got here and I got to have a traditional Austrian dessert! We also had a BBQ with some members on Saturday, and we made schnitzel for dinner tonight! The food is definitely a plus of being in this mission.
I found this quote this week that I really liked from Elder S Mark Palmer this past General Conference: "I promise that if you desire to believe, then act in faith and follow the whisperings of the Spirit, you will find joy in this life and in the world to come." I love this quote because of the promise that it gives. We simply need to desire to believe and have faith, and we can always find joy by doing so. That's something that I hope to get better at eventually.
The gospel is true! If you ever have any questions about my mission or anything, send me an email!
