Some New Experiences!

Hello everyone!

I don't have tons of time so sorry if this is short, but things are going great in Klagenfurt! My companions are super fun, the ward is super kind and inviting, and the area is gorgeous!

One thing I heard before the mission was that the food is really good, and it is indeed true. We had a member appointment this week with the Kaiser Family and we cooked everything over a fire. It wasn't like hot dogs though, Sister Kaiser had made homemade bread that we cooked over the fire with chicken and bacon. It was delicious.

We also made a new friend this week! His name is Ferdi. We met with him and he opened up about some hard things in his life. We gave him a blessing and a Book of Mormon and he was super appreciative. Hopefully things will continue to go well with him!

We had two other elders come yesterday to do exchanges with us and spend P-Day together, which means 5 elders in our apartment. We actually went to the Kaiser's again last night because one of the elders had served here before and wanted to visit them. We played Telestrations and a charades game. I usually love those games but doing it all in German was definitely interesting, and basically put me automatically at a disadvantage. But it was good practice!

We also teach an English class twice a week to some people in the ward. We have been teaching idioms like "it's raining cats and dogs" or "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree". My Austrian companion Elder Ausobsky got really bored during it the other day and fell asleep during our class so I had to take a picture.

Overall things are great and I'm already loving it here!
